Some Marine officers and staff noncommissioned officers are eligible for Voluntary Separation Pay in fiscal 2013.

VSP is a cash incentive for Marines in specific ranks and overmanned specialties to leave the service early.

The following Marines can get lump sums to leave:

Staff sergeant 1833 Assault amphibious vehicle crewman

Staff sergeant 2834 Satellite communications technician

Staff sergeant 5524 Musician

Staff sergeant 5811 Military police

Staff sergeant 6046 Aircraft maintenance administration specialist

Staff sergeant 6072 Aircraft maintenance support equipment hydraulic/pneumatic/structures mechanic

Staff sergeant 6073 Aircraft maintenance support equipment electrician/refrigeration mechanic

Staff sergeant 6092 Aircraft intermediate level structures mechanic

Staff sergeant 6313 Aircraft communications/navigation/radar systems tech., EA-6

Staff sergeant 6323 Aircraft communications/navigation/electrical systems tech., CH-53

Staff sergeant 6414 Advanced aircraft communications/navigation systems tech., Individual Mobilization Augmentee

Staff and gunnery sergeant 6434 Advanced aircraft electrical/instrument/flight control systems technician, IMA
