TROWBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A southwestern Michigan man who lost his U.S. Marine son in a car crash is seeking the return of a stolen camera that contains precious memories of the Afghan war veteran.
Gregory Courtney, 22, died in a car crash in Allegan County on Sept. 16, 2011, about a month after returning home from Afghanistan.
This month, someone stole a digital camera containing pictures of Courtney. A Sony camcorder, videos of Courtney and a Marine sign from the home of Joe Courtney, Gregory Courtney's father, were also stolen.
Joe Courtney lives in Trowbridge Township, south of Allegan. He says some antiques were also taken in the Nov. 15 burglary, but he's only concerned about getting the camera and video tapes back.
