7 BGs nominated to receive second stars

Seven Marine Corps brigadier generals have been nominated to receive second stars, the Defense Department announced Jan. 24. Their promotions require Senate approval. They are:

Brig. Gen. John J. Broadmeadow, currently commanding general of 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) at Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Brig. Gen. Herman S. Clardy III, currently director of the Operations Division at Plans, Policies and Operations, Headquarters Marine Corps, in Arlington, Va.

Brig. Gen. Lewis A. Craparotta, currently director of operations at U.S. Northern Command in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Brig. Gen. Robert F. Hedelund, currently director of Marine and Family Programs in Quantico, Va.

Brig. Gen. Frederick M. Padilla, currently commanding general of 3rd Marine Division in Okinawa, Japan.

Brig. Gen. Michael A. Rocco, currently director of the Strategy and Policy Division at PP&O, Headquarters Marine Corps, in Arlington, Va.

Brig. Gen. Vincent R. Stewart, currently director of intelligence at Headquarters Marine Corps in Arlington, Va.
