Troops in Afghanistan get Super Bowl feast

Troops in Afghanistan not only will be watching the Super Bowl, they'll be chowing down on 49,000 pounds of chicken wings, 40,000 frozen pizzas and 2,200 gallons of chili and washing it down with 9,800 cases of non-alcoholic beer, thanks to the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support.

And there's no need for a last-minute trip to the grocery store or a call to the local delivery joint before Sunday's big game between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. The snacks already have been delivered to more than 200 locations throughout Afghanistan, according to a statement from agency officials, who begin their planning well in advance.

Other offerings include 11,000 pounds of mozzarella sticks; and plenty of jalapeno poppers, chicken mini bites, turkey wings, French fries, onion rings and meatballs.
