2 flag officer assignments announced

Navy Secretary Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jon Greenert announced two flag officer assignments today:

Rear Adm. David Baucom, who has been selected for his second star, will be assigned as director, strategy, policy, programs and logistics, TCJ5/4, U.S. Transportation Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Baucom is serving as commander, Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, Philadelphia.

■ Capt. Alexander Krongard, who has been selected for his first star, will be assigned as deputy commander, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, Djibouti. Krongard is serving as director, counterterrorism, National Security Council, Washington, D.C.
