Shooters from across the services will compete in the 55th Annual Interservice Pistol Championships June 15-20 at Fort Benning, Georgia.

The event, hosted by the Army Marksmanship Unit, will feature competitors from the Army, Army Reserve, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard.

The annual event crowns the best pistol shooters in the military and gives troops a chance to share techniques and develop new ideas.

Competitors will participate in individual and team matches using .22- and .45-caliber pistols as well as center fire and service pistols. They also will shoot an excellence-in-competition match to close out the week.

The Army typically dominates the team matches, having won the past eight.
