A man and woman were arrested early Sunday morning after having sexual intercourse on a lawn.

At 1:34 a.m. Sunday, an officer responded to 100 Hiter St. after a passerby called police. The passerby saw two people having sex on the lawn.

When the officer arrived he saw Justin Moore, 25, and Jennifer Cogdill, 34, engaging in sexual activity. After the officer got out of his car, Moore and Cogdill separated, the warrant said.

The officer said they smelled strongly of alcohol and their speech was slurred. The officer asked them how much they had to drink, and both said they were very drunk.

Cogdill gave a Memorial Drive address. Moore, who is a soldier, gave a Fort Campbell address. They were both charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication. Both were booked into the Montgomery County Jail Sunday, and their bond was set at $1,500 each.
