A soldier has wowed crowds and wooed judges in his first two performances on “America’s Got Talent,” but to reach the next level, he’ll need help from viewers.

Pfc. Paul Ieti, whose YouTube popularity — some of which came from clips recorded in Afghanistan — helped him land an audition with the NBC talent show, will sing Tuesday night at Radio City Music Hall during the two-hour live show that’ll air at 9 p.m. Eastern.

“So excited and nervous about Tuesday,” Ieti wrote in a Facebook post late last week. “I just want to be on the stage already and sing my heart out.”

The show will be the third of four quarterfinal showcases: Twelve acts will take the stage, with five advancing to the semifinals. Viewers will be given a phone number to call during the show to cast their ballots, or they can vote at

A vote by the show’s celebrity judges — comedian Howie Mandel, former Spice Girl Mel B., supermodel Heidi Klum and radio legend Howard Stern — will “save” one of the acts from elimination.

The results will be revealed during a one-hour live show Wednesday night, also at 9 p.m. Semifinalists stay in the hunt for the $1 million grand prize.

Ieti cleared the first round with a cover of Rihanna’s “Stay” — his most popular YouTube clip — and impressed the judges in the second round with a rendition of Rascal Flatts’ “Bless the Broken Road.”

He learned he’d reached the quarterfinals before the rest of his group, and his emotional call to his mother in American Samoa relaying the news was caught by the show’s backstage cameras.

Other tunes atop Ieti’s YouTube playlist include a version of the Etta James hit “At Last” and his take on the Leonard Cohen classic “Hallelujah” — or, as the 21-year-old petroleum supply specialist puts it in the video, “That song from ‘Shrek.’ ”
