Despite the title of Marine, we all are soldiers. Marine is an honorific specific to them. Consider them the Lamborghini of the military (everyone wants one, but not everyone can even get close to one) and the Army is more like the Cadillac (a lot more common, but still a higher class than most).

The young lady who spoke for Obama in Colorado is confused if she believes that when her boyfriend leaves Iraq he will be home. My husband’s job is to protect America wherever that leads him, and I am proud to support him. The military’s job is not always at home.
