AFN commercials you love to hate
How about the one where the guy in the Hawaiian shirt walks up to two teenage girls and gives them a lecture on OPSEC?
1. Why are you stalking two 15-year-old girls?
2. Why are you wearing a Hawaiian shirt in Germany?
3. Why are you wearing sunglasses when it is cloudy outside? Is that an Intel thing?
That guy ticks me off.
Homesteading
I can see where the Navy could create a program like this — especially at San Diego and Norfolk, Va. There are so many ships/subs assigned to those ports, along with all the associated shore units. In the Air Force, Army and Marine Corps, we don’t have those mega-bases. Maybe making all overseas tours unaccompanied could work, but as you are promoted you still have to find a slot in the manpower document.
New PT order
Combat conditioning for aviation mechanics, cooks, recruiters and drill instructors? Why not make grunts learn to recruit, build engines and build ordinance pods? Combat conditioning is great for those needing it, but this is ridiculous.
We food-service Marines go to fight just like the grunts. We lead convoys, pull guard duty and run patrols. We already get the bad rap from BS like this.
