Former Marine hurt in crash with Hogan son

A car crash Sunday night involving the son of famed wrestler Hulk Hogan severely injured a former Marine, who was listed in critical condition at a Tampa, Fla.-area hospital as of Thursday afternoon, according to Bayfront Medical Center spokeswoman Nancy Waite.
John Graziano, 22, who was discharged in March as a lance corporal, was a passenger in the Toyota Celica Supra driven by Nick Bollea — also known as Nick Hogan on the VH1 show “Hogan Knows Best” — that hit a median and spun into a palm tree. Witnesses said Bollea was racing another car, according to multiple press reports.
Bollea was sent to the hospital, but was treated and released with only minor injuries.
Nick’s “sole concern is for the well-being of his friend,” Linda Bollea, Nick’s mother, said in a written statement in a St. Petersburg Times news story. “On behalf of my family, we ask that your thoughts and prayers be with John and his loved ones.”
Police are investigating the incident. Clearwater Police spokesman Wayne Shelor said Bollea showed no overt signs of impairment at the scene, and there were no obvious signs that drugs or alcohol were involved.
No charges have been filed, and Shelor said the investigation would not be completed for many weeks.
