Sgt. Lincoln Crall of Boulder, Colo., was convicted of one count of manslaughter at his general court-martial at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, a spokesman said Thursday. Crall was accused in the shooting death of Lance Cpl. Cameron Babcock, 19, of Plymouth, Ind., on Jan. 20, in a barracks at the desert training base.
Crall was sentenced to four years confinement, a reduction to private, and a bad conduct discharge, according to 1st Lt. Curtis Williamson, a 1st Marine Division spokesman at Camp Pendleton. Crall is assigned to 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, at Twentynine Palms.
