NORAD training flights over D.C. on Wednesday

WASHINGTON — The North American Aerospace Defense Command will conduct a short “live fly” exercise over Washington.
The one- to two-hour exercise, called Amalgam Arrow, will take place on Wednesday. It is one of a series of training flights to improve NORAD’s intercept and identification operations.
Air Force fighters, Coast Guard and Civil Air Patrol aircraft will take part in the exercise.
