II MEF Marine dies in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON — A 19-year-old Marine from San Antonio has died in Afghanistan.
The Defense Department on Saturday identified the victim as Lance Cpl. Christopher S. Baltazar Jr. DoD said he died Thursday while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. No additional details were released.
Baltazar was assigned to 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
