Marine recruiter faces 14 felony sex charges

SALT LAKE CITY — A Marine recruiter accused of having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl is facing 14 felony charges.
Salt Lake County prosecutors on Thursday charged 26-year-old Trevor Hooper of Centerville with rape, forcible sodomy, sexual exploitation of a minor and forcible sexual abuse.
Hooper is accused of meeting the girl during an April recruitment visit to an area high school, and of taking pictures and video on his cell phone while they were having sex at a motel.
The relationship was discovered when the girl's father caught her sneaking into the house one night and found a memory card that contained images of the girl and a man engaged in a sex act.
