A Marine in Florida was sentenced to 18 months in the brig for selling cocaine to another Marine who suffered a seizure after using it, a Marine spokeswoman said.
Lance Cpl. Jacob White also received a bad conduct discharge for his Sept. 3 conviction for using cocaine, distributing cocaine and wrongfully bringing cocaine onto his base at Marine Corps Detachment Corry Station in Pensacola, Fla., said 1st Lt. Joy Crabaugh, a Marine spokeswoman. White was accused of obtaining an eighth of an ounce of cocaine April 9 — known as an “8 Ball” — and using some before selling the rest to another Marine, Crabaugh said.
Two other Marines involved in the case were administratively separated from the Corps with other-than-honorable discharges for possession and use of illegal drugs, Crabaugh said.
White was a student at the Marine Corps Intelligence Schools in Pensacola, Crabaugh said.
