CHERRY POINT, N.C. — A Marine jet squadron used to jam improvised explosive devices in Iraq is returning from its final deployment.

The last EA-6B Prowlers from Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 3 will return to Cherry Point on Friday. The squadron is the last unit from the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing to return. The Marine Corps is pulling its forces from Iraq as it shifts focus to Afghanistan.

The Prowler has a crew of four and is used to jam cellular telephones that are used to set off roadside bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan.
