HELENA, Mont. — The disappearance of a former Marine in a Montana wilderness area will be profiled in program on the Investigation Discovery channel.

The episode of “Disappeared,” featuring Noah Pippin’s disappearance in the Bob Marshal Wilderness, is scheduled to air Feb. 27, according to The Independent Record of Helena.

Pippin was last seen Sept. 15, 2010, while trying to cross the Chinese Wall, a landmark in the wilderness area. He told fellow hikers he planned to hike along the wall to White River. At dusk that evening, a family encountered him just south of Salt Mountain. Officials said people who had contact with Pippin reported he was ill-prepared for an extended wilderness trek and did not have any maps.

Mike Pippin of Lake Ann, Mich., says he hopes the program will bring in new information about his son.
