Corps wants to hear all of your complaints

It’s a rare opportunity when the Marine Corps actually wants you to complain, and this is one of them. Through retention surveys, active-duty enlisted Marines and officers are invited to spell out “how satisfied or dissatisfied they are with certain aspects of the Marine Corps and the military way of life.”

The fiscal 2013 EAS Enlisted Retention Survey, announced in Marine administrative message 046/12, is open to active-duty Marines in re-enlistments zones A through C who have an end of active service date between Oct. 1, 2012, and Sept. 30, 2013.

The fiscal 2012 Officer Retention Survey, announced in MARADMIN 045/12, targets active-duty officers ranked from second lieutenant to lieutenant colonel and warrant officer through chief warrant officer 5.

Click here to access both surveys. The survey runs through Feb. 29.

Though voluntary, your voice could make a difference. The survey is used to inform leaders on what influences Marines to remain on active duty and, according to the enlisted MARADMIN, also determines the most effective incentives when it comes to retention.
