2008 Drill Pay

The Defense Department’s fiscal 2008 budget request seeks a 3 percent pay raise for all service members effective Jan. 1. The chart below shows monthly drill pay rates for reservists under the proposed raise, taking into account the targeted pay increases due to take effect April 1 for many service members in paygrades W-1 through W-5 and E-5 through E-7. Paygrades marked with an asterisk (*) will receive additional longevity pay increases beyond 26 years of service as of April 1; see the Extended Table. Monthly pay for all other paygrades will continue to top out at 26 years of service. The rates shown below are for four drills, a typical weekend for reservists.
