A Marine recruiting station was one of the targets of a series of firebombings to hit Tucson, Arizona, on Tuesday.

The Corps said it was aware of the “recent vandalism” against its recruiting station in Tucson.

There were no injuries, and no personnel were present during the early morning incident, the Marine Corps said.

“There was minimal damage to the station and operations have not been interrupted,” 1st Lt. Andrew Wood, a Marine spokesman, told Marine Corps Times in an emailed statement. “The safety of our recruiters, civilian employees and prospective applicants is a top priority so we will continue to cooperate with local authorities as they lead the ongoing investigation.”

The incidents are still under investigation. The Tucson Police Department told Marine Corps Times Thursday that no arrests have been made and that “detectives have not advised of any new updates.”

The Arizona Daily Star had reported that local police were investigating a series of four arson events that struck Tucson in the early morning hours Tuesday.

Four targets, to include a Starbucks, Chase Bank, Wells Fargo and a Marine recruiting station, were hit with incendiary devices like Molotov cocktails, the Arizona Daily Star reported.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, the buildings received only minor damage.
