Neller replaces Dunford as Marine Corps commandant

Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., the 36th commandant of the Marine Corps, passed command to Gen. Robert B. Neller during a ceremony at Marine Corps Barracks in Washington, D.C., on Thursday.

Gen. Dunford is scheduled to become the 19th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on Sept. 25.
