$30 and you can snap your GoPro HD into your Army NVG/NOD mount. I used a prototype in Afghanistan last year and can report that the thing works. Though, it's made from plastic and the two-is-one-and-one-is-none rule of combat logistics applies here. The camera mounts to the NVG mounting plate like any other GoPro accessory using the supplied threaded rod. You can adjust the camera from about 45 degrees up to about 90 degrees straight down.

It snaps in and out easily and holds securely. Just be careful to take the camera off your helmet when you sit down with the village elders for a KLE. Tiny hands made one of my GoPros disappear, while kinds words to the elders (backed by lots of firepower) made the camera reappear within a few hours.

Here's what the mount looks like in action.
