Jacob Mullen, 25, died after their training vehicle rolled over and into standing water. The Marine Corps' ROGUE Fires will roll off production lines with self-driving capability from Forterra. Elsewhere in the Corps, Marines conducted the service’s first organic rebuild of a JLTV engine at a Defense Department depot. Nearly 200 Marines and 400 sailors from I Marine Expeditionary Force and Expeditionary Strike Group 3 conducted the drills off the coast of Camp Pendleton. Without a working attitude indicator and mired in thick cloud cover, the F-16 pilot found it difficult to ensure he was flying away from the ocean. The vehicle had its overseas operational debut in May. The capability allows Marine drones to fly farther for distributed operations. Maj.
