US Air Force to keep A-10 off the chopping block in next budget request

A-10 Warthogs are back in Afghanistan
The A-10 Thunderbolt II arrived in Afghanistan Jan. 19, and flew their first mission within 24 hours of landing at Kandahar, according to U.S. Air Forces Central Command.
