Most of the major television networks announced premiere dates for their fall seasons this month, and three of those lineups contain a brand-new, military-themed hourlong drama highlighting fictional special operators.

Take a quick look at each of the shows, then pick your favorite in our poll (all times Eastern/Pacific).

1. "The Brave" (NBC, Mondays starting Sept. 25, 10 p.m.)

The tagline: "A journey into the world's elite undercover military heroes."
The lead-in: A two-hour block of "The Voice," NBC's singing contest.
Familiar face: That's Anne Heche ("Donnie Brasco," "Volcano," "Six Days, Seven Nights") directing the elite Army unit's moves from afar.

2. "SEAL Team" (CBS, Wednesdays starting Sept. 27, 9 p.m.)

The tagline: "Follow the lives of the most elite unit of Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous missions our country can ask of them."
The lead-in: "Survivor," now in its 35th season. No word on any crossover plans featuring this guy.
Familiar Face: Fans of the long-running Fox drama "Bones" or the cult favorite "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" will recognize David Boreanaz, who leads the elite SEAL squad.

3. "Valor" (the CW, Mondays starting Oct. 9, 9 p.m.)

The tagline: "[Main characters] Nora and Gallo grow closer, and soon find themselves torn between duty, honor and desire."

The lead-in: "Supergirl" — comic book-based programming takes up the bulk of the CW lineup.
Familiar face: Before "Valor," Brian Stapf had roles in two Netflix staples ("House of Cards" and "Bloodline") and a brief run on AMC's "The Walking Dead." It didn't end well for his character.
