The Corps is once again dishing out $5,000 bonuses to recruits who sign up to go infantry for six years.

In a MARADMIN posted Wednesday, recruits who decide to go grunt for six year and complete the training for either riflemen, light-armor vehicle, machine gunner, mortarmen, infantry assault, or antitank missile gunner, can get the cash.

The Corps has offered the $5,000 infantry six-year contract bonus for at least four years now.

The money is part of the Corps’ Enlistment Bonus Program that helps recruit talented and qualified individuals in a variety of fields and critical skills. The bonuses for fiscal year 2019 range from $1,000 to $8,000.

Below is a list of fields the Corps is offering enlistment bonuses for:

Electronics Maintenance, $8,000

Supply, Accounting, and Legal, $3,000

Information and Comm Technology, $5,000

Cyber, Intel, Crypto Ops and Plans, $2,000

Motor Transport, $4,000

Infantry 6-year Option, $5,000

The Corps is dishing out other large bonuses for a separate program known as the Selective Retention Bonuses that targets experienced grunts who are or plan to complete the Infantry Small Unit Leaders Course.
