As officials flush the petroleum contaminants out of the system, some families have been offered hotel rooms; others will receive temporary lodging allowance.
The elementary school, serving mostly military children, is one of the sites in the Navy water system where fuel odors have been detected in the water this week.
According to a Nov. 29 post from the official Joint Base Pearl Harbor- Hickam Facebook page, the Hawaii Department of Health and the Navy have tested the water and found no measurable quantities of fuel contaminants.
